the end of a legacy goodbye COBRA KAI
I know it's been a long time since I posted an entry on this blog and since today is February 13th and Valentines Day is tomorrow I will be posting back to back entry's for both days. the reason being is that I always have a specific person to be my valentine even though I don't have a boyfriend anymore I always pick a famous male Celebrity to be my Valentine last year it was Andrew Garfield this year I chose 14 time wrestler Randy Orton from Friday Night Smackdown. I know some people may be shocked to hear that a 30 year old young Adult female to be into Wrestling but I do my connection to the wrestling world goes back to a time when I watched it with my dad and his friends I never got into it because I wasn't sure if I would like it or not. this entry is for Cobra Kai and we are celebrating it's end with the premiere of the final 5 episodes which I will be doing a timeline and addressing some Key points that I discovered when I made a deep dive into the series as a whole.

Miyagi gets the medal of honor during his service and was saved by Jack Pierce in return he teaches jack Miyagi do Karate.

Johnny's memory of this incident is vague because he was drunk when it happened he never went back to the club again but his step dad Sid wont let them ban him for life

during happy hour at Applebee's Johnny had to many beers on a two for one banquet night he orders a loaded baked potato soup for dinner. a hipster couple walks into the restaurant and asks for a wine list and a vegan menu and something unspeakable happened it's implied that Johnny had assaulted the couple this incident resulted in him getting arrested and banned from the restaurant

Season 1 - August 2017 and May 2018

1. when Daniel and Johnny are apart their emotions clearly show they secretly care for each other
2. they don't realize how much they need each other
(there is no Daniel without Johnny the truth is they need each other in their lives to keep the other from getting hurt or possibly a fatal death)
3. when kreese takes back Cobra Kai that was the moment Johnny realized his students now know the truth of his and Daniel's rivalry
(it's because of Kreese's influence on the Students he basically indirectly tells them that Johnny's feud with Daniel is the main reason why he thinks Johnny's style of Cobra Kai is weak and that Miguel's injury to his spine was his fault because Miguel went soft that made him vulnerable and a direct result of not following the No Mercy philosophy)
4. Ali mentions the hidden truth was that Daniel and Johnny see something in each other that they don't always like what they see
(their methods rub off on each other and they act on opposite actions this is seen when Daniel punishes Anthony using Johnny's catchphrase or when Johnny slowly learns to have mercy instead of no mercy)
5. when Daniel and Johnny start blaming each other for everything they don't realize the negative impact it has on the people around them
(every time they have arguments and make it look like the other is to blame they always say things they don't mean in the heat of the moment which these arguments always happen out of eyeline of their students because they know if they see them fight it would trigger the student to lose focus.)
6. when one of the kids gets hurt it triggers them
(when Sam and Miguel got hurt during the school fight it triggers Daniel's defense and wants to fight back but it also triggers Johnny's emotional side)
7. Kreese channels his pain of the past on to Johnny
(the major reason why Kreese channels his pain is because Johnny is his weakness and that he loves him so much that it's hard for him to talk about the past without crying)
8. the kids know the real truth but when they try to explain their feelings to either Daniel or Johnny they always get shot down in favor of their rivalry but they get scared if they push they'll get triggered even more
(this is because the kids know it's the only way to get them on board and that the reason why their scared is because they clearly know how much they care for each other and that they don't know if their reaction will be good or bad and feel like their to blame if it goes wrong.)
9. when Daniel and Johnny take a look at each other it's a clear sign that they know their better together
(this stems from the fact that they have opposing styles of Karate Johnny's is more offence and Daniel's is defense in the beginning they clearly don't see how these styles go together perfectly it's because of their rivalry that prevents the future merge from happening which Daniel clearly sticking to Mr. Miyagi's way of teaching instead of his own. over time the merge does happen and even though they still argue it's clear that they could easily teach mixed martial arts of both Defense and Offence.)
10. Daniel clearly cares for Johnny so much that he gets scared he might lose him
(this is seen many times when there is no talking Johnny out of a fight Daniel clearly knows this but it scares him to death thinking he might lose Johnny is the one clear sign that he does care for Johnny's life which Johnny has also done for him. when Johnny meets Mike and Terry Daniel is triggered into thinking that Johnny may die on him due to the fact that he knows Barnes and Silver well enough that they will kill him if they got the chance to do so.)
Conclusion
no words can describe how much I love Johnny Lawrence and the series as a whole even though I never got into the original films growing up right now the Cobra kai series made me love it a lot more then I ever knew before. apparently we can thank How I met your mother for making this show happen because that's how I first knew of William Zabka now that the series is over I don't know what's next but I do know we might get plenty more answers in the upcoming Karate Kid Legends and I am also hoping they don't make us wait to long for another future sequel that could explain the 2 year gap between the show and the Legends Movie. I'm also kinda happy and sad that they didn't use a romantic angle for Daniel and Johnny mainly because watching the show made me think there was going to be a one sided crush but now that I just watched the series finale I see why they didn't pull off Dean and Castiel for the 2 because in the end the Miyagi Verse will forever more be about Leaving a legacy.
